Elena Bezgodkova

Sopran

Ms Bezgodkova was born in Sverdlovsk region in 1989. In 2008 entered Academic College of Music at Tchaikovsky Moscow State Conservatory. While being a student she performed the role of Fiordespina at Igor Ushakov’s production of “L’impresario in augustie” by Cimarosa.

Winner of The Delphic Games in Moscow (2012), Winner of The 1st prize of V Rachmaninoff International Music Competition (St. Petersburg, 2012), Winner of VII Irina Bogacheva International Competition (St. Petersburg, 2015), Winner of The 1st prize of XX Competizione dell’opera (Moscow, 2016).

In 2023/24 she will sing Desdemona (Otello) and Elisabeth (Tannhäuser) at Hessisches Staatstheater Wiesbaden.

In 2022/23 she sang a revival of Lisa in Pique Dame at Hessisches Staatstheater Wiesbaden and with this part she also went to Bari Fondazione Petruzzelli.

Her next production will be the title role in Rusalka.

In 2021/22 she was engaged by Kirill Petrenko to sing Lisa in his production of Pique Dame at Festspiele Baden Baden. Furthermore she appeared at Hessisches Staatstheater Wiesbaden in a new production of Pique Dame (Lisa) and also sang Leonora in Trovatore there. After this she was in Avignon with Lisa in Pique Dame.

Her 2020/21 engagements included Lisa in Pique Dame at Opera Nice and at Opera de Toulon (cancelled due to Covid19). Furthermore Woglinde in Rheingold in concert version at Opera Nice.

2019 saw her as Micaela in Carmen and in the title role of Jenufa, both at the Stanislavsky Opera, Moscow. Furthermore, she sang Cio-Cio-San in Madama Butterfly at Hessisches Staatstheater Wiesbaden in April/May 2019. Also in May she had a new production of Otello – Desdemona at Stanislavsky Opera, Moscow.

In 2018 she appeared on the stage of the Stanislavsky Opera, Moscow in the title role of Jenufa, as Natasha Rostova in “War and Peace”, as Lisa in “Queen of Spades” and as Mimi in La Boheme.

In 2017 she sang Tatyana in Eugen Onegin and Lisa in Pique Dame at the Stanislavsky Opera, Moscow. Also Antonia in Hoffmann’s Erzählungen.

From 2011 to 2016 Ms Bezgodkova was a student of the Moscow Conservatory where she performed the roles of Tatiana, Iolanta, Zemfira. Now she is an assistant trainee there with Prof. Lidia Tchernykh. In 2014 she studied at the Galina Vishnevskaya Opera Center in Moscow. She has participated in master classes with Makvala Kastrashvili, Boris Statsenko, Michael Paul.
