Tenor Georgy Vasiliev is one of Russia’s leading opera singers, specialising in the lyrical tenor opera repertoire. As a soloist, he participates in productions, concerts, and festivals at major theatres and concert halls in Russia, Germany, France, Italy, the United Kingdom, the United States, Australia, Switzerland, Spain, Ireland, the Netherlands, the Czech Republic, Mexico, Brazil, Japan, and other countries. Performances and concerts featuring Georgy Vasiliev are broadcast worldwide.

As a concert singer Georgy Vasiliev has performed at the Classics on Palace Square festival, which gathers the world’s best opera soloists, like Roberto Alagna, Vittorio Grigolo, Anna Netrebko, Dmitri Hvorostovsky, Marcelo Álvarez, Sonya Yoncheva, and others. Georgy has also appeared in concerts and festivals led by Jacub Hrusa, Vladimir Spivakov, Mikhail Pletnev and others.

Recent significant opera engagements include a tour in Japan with the Royal Opera House (London), where Georgy performed the role of Faust under the baton of Antonio Pappano; the performances and DVD recordings of Roméo from Roméo et Juliette in Lisbon conducted by Lorenzo Viotti, Vakula from Christmas Eve in Frankfurt (named Production of the Year in Germany) and Donello in Ottorino Respighi’s La Fiamma in Berlin, both directed by Christof Loy as well as the role of Vaudémont in Tchaikovsky’s Iolanta in Vienna.
