Born in Dae-jeon, South Korea, Inho Jeong completed the opera studio professional course at the Korea National Opera in 2022. Earned a bachelor’s degree from Seoul National University College of Music in 2017, and studied with Jongmin-Park, David Junghoon-Kim, Suho-Park, Wonik-Choi and Kammersänger Attila Jun.
In the 22/23 season he made a very successful debut at the Staatstheater am Gärtnerplatz Munich as Walter (Luisa Miller). He is also about to make his debut at the Festival d’Aix en Provence as Bonzo (Madame Butterfly). At Opera Royal de Wallonie Liege he will sing Arkel (Pelleas et Melisande) and the voice (Idomeneo). From 2023, he has concert schedules in France, Hungary and Portugal
He has won many competitions in 2022, distinguishing himself around the world and is in the spotlight in the opera world. In 2022, He won the ‘Marmande Competition’ in France, ‘Riccardo Zandonai Competition’ in Italy, ‘Otto Edelmann Competition’ and the ‘Ferruccio Tagliavini Competition’ in Austria. At the ‘Eva Marton competition’ in Hungary, he won the Eva Marton Special prize and the Third prize. He was among the final two at the ‘Music Masters in Monte Carlo’. And he received the Special Prize at the ‘Tenor Viñas Competition’ in Spain and Special Prizes at the ‘Competizione dell’Opera’ in Russia. Also he won the Encouragement Award at the Operalia.
He worked with conductors Anthony Bramall, Placido Domingo, Balazs Kocsar, Marco Boemi, Sascha Goetzel, Vladimir Kiradjiev, Marius Burkert, and Tugan Sokhiev. He also has worked with Hungarian State Opera Orch., Bolshoi Theatre Orch., Monte-Carlo Philharmonic Orch., Graz Philharmonic Orch., MDW Philharmonic Orch. and Veneta Philharmonic Orch. He performed in Seoul Arts Center and various concerts with the Daejeon Philharmonic Orch. at the Daejeon Arts Center. And he performed opera ‘La Traviata’ at the Gangnam Intl. Music Festival, Opera ‘Tosca’ at the Chungmu Art Center, and opera ‘Le Nozze di Figaro’ at the Seoul National Univ.
