Karl-Magnus Fredriksson, baritone, is a Lieder, Oratorio, Concert and Opera singer since 1991. In 2004 he was appointed Royal Court Singer and in 2013 he received the Litteris et Artibus medal from His Majesty King Carl XVI Gustaf of Sweden. He is a member of The Royal Swedish Academy of Music. Karl-Magnus Fredriksson has worked with the Royal Opera in Stockholm since 1998 where his roles include Figaro in The Barber of Seville, Marcello in La Bohème, Papageno in The Magic Flute, The Unknown in Hans Gefors Christina, Fritz in Die tote Stadt, the title role in Eugene Onegin, Count Luna in Il Trovatore, Germont in La Traviata, Absalom in Sven-David Sandström´s Bathsheba, Sharpless in Madama Butterfly, Jason in Daniel Börtz´ Medea, Renato in Un ballo di maschera etc. His guest appearances include the New National Theatre in Tokyo.

Karl-Magnus Fredriksson has performed with many of the foremost orchestras in the world and conductors such as Sir Colin Davies, Andrew Davis, Sir John Eliot Gardiner, Frans Brüggen, Alan Gilbert, Jesús López-Cobos, Sakari Oramo, Herbert Blomstedt, Leif Segerstam etc. He is a frequent guest in the Nordic countries.

His long lasting collaboration with the Swedish conductors Eric Ericson and Gustaf Sjökvist resulted in recordings and concerts of many Orchestral songs and baritone parts in Oratorios, Masses and Passions. He has recorded more than 30 CD´s – from Sacred repertoire and Opera to Folk Songs and Lieder and has been responsible for photographic layout and design to several of them.

Karl-Magnus Fredriksson is a frequent performer on TV and Radio and has participated in traditional music programs as well as in productions of contemporary music and unrecorded older material. During his career he has explored a wide repertoire ranging from Oratorio, Orchestral  songs (most notably those by Mahler) and Opera to Nordic and German Lieder.

He likes to create concert programmes where Folk Song and Lieder can meet. Karl-Magnus Fredriksson studied with Professor and Royal Court Singer Erik Saedén at the University College of Opera in Stockholm. He graduated in 1991. Since then he has worked as a soloist. He has studied with Dietrich Fischer-Dieskau and today Karl-Magnus Fredriksson is much in demand as a teacher, giving Masterclasses in technique and interpretation at a high level and privately.

He is also a photographer, composer, author and painter.
