Lidiya Svetozarova graduated from the Vladimir Regional Music College with a degree in choral conducting and Russian Academy of Theatre Arts with a degree “Actor of Musical Theatre” (workshop of D. A. Bertman, the vocal teacher – A. A. Malinovsky).
In 2012 she became a soloist of the Helikon-opera theatre. Her repertoire includes such roles as Angelica (“Orlando, Orlando” G. Handel/G. Prokofiev), Tsaritsa of Shemakha (“The Golden Cockerel” N. Rimsky-Korsakov), Pamina (“Die Zauberflöte” W. A. Mozart), Liza (“Chaadsky” by A. Manotskov), Marfa (“The Tsar’s Bride” by N. Rimsky-Korsakov), Nicoletta (“The Love for Three Oranges” by S. Prokofiev), Volkhova (“Sadko” by N. Rimsky-Korsakov), Gretchen, Haass’s sister (“Doctor Haass” by A. Sergunin), Nightingale (“Le rossignol” by I. Stravinsky), Vampuka (“Vampuka, the African bride” by V. Erenberg), Olga (“Fallen from the Sky” S. Prokofiev), Nanetta (“Falstaff” by G. Verdi), Oscar (“Un ballo in maschera” by G. Verdi), Micaela (“Carmen” by G. Bizet), Olympia (“Les Contes d’Hoffmann” by J. Offenbach), Dorella (“Das Liebesverbot” by R. Wagner), the soloist in the concert “Gershwin-Gala” by J. Gershwin. In 2016 she was nominated for Russian national theatre award “The Golden Mask” in the category opera/best actress for the role of Gretchen in the “Doctor Haass” performance by A. Sergunin.
In 2020 she got the National Award of Art from the City of Moscow.
