Finnish soprano Marjukka Tepponen began her musical education as pianist at the age of five. She had vocal studies from 2000 at the Conservatory of Kuopio and from 2003 at the University of applied Sciences of Jyväskylä. Marjukka Tepponen has studied at the Sibelius Academy in Helsinki with Marjut Hannula since 2008 and privately in Viennawith prof. Hilde Zadek.
Marjukka Tepponen was awarded the 2. prize at the National Lied Competition in Kokkola in 2007, in 2008 she was the winner of Timo Mustakallio Competition in Savonlinna and in January 2010 she won the 1. prize in the National Lappeenranta Singing Competition.
